This is a blue dial Rolex, in stainless steel and solid gold alloy. It has never been worn, and includes all the original boxes, documentation, warranty card and even factory seals on the case.

It's not by accident we have a varied offering of Submariners available. Besides being one of the most renowned Rolex series, it's also one of our personal favorites. Besides, we know that anyone who is serious about collecting Rolex wristwatches is likely to add one of these models to his collection, eventually.

The Submariner was one of the first watches that Rolex build using the oyster design which is now transversal in most of its products. This is a special case with no holes in it, which allows the mechanism to remain impervious to water damage, in depths up to around 100 feet (recent models such as this one now use even better oyster casings which can go as deep as 1000 feet). Back in the day, it was one of the first genuinely water-proof watches, and as such the Submariners were quite influential in solidifying the strength of Rolex as a leading worldwide watch manufacturer.

As you can see from the pictures, this is a "gold over blue" design with a vivid blue dial and rotating bezel, complimented with solid gold hands and markers. This model also features gold-plated clasps (using a special process wherein a strip of sold gold is actually fused to the stainless steel in the clasp), which gives the watch a much balanced and sophisticated look. With its sober combination of gold, blue and silver colors and its lush details, the 16613 Submarine is indeed one of the most sought-after models available from Rolex.
